Cracked Flights- broken flights reconstructed: pits, holes, groves and galling welded and polished. Material burning, stagnation and degradation corrected. Welding material includes KORGUARD. |
Flight Thickness Restored- Increasing to original specifications on request to ensure correct screw geometry and extend flight wear. Eroded radii repaired. |
Tips Re-Seated- Screw end refaced for proper tip fit. |
Straightened- In many cases to .001” T.I.R. All rebuilding and manufacturing operations between procedures to ensure minimal run out. |
Keyways and Splines- Repaired and replaced. Ensures timing with twins. Twists corrected. |
Cracked Root- Diameters repaired even in screw with cooling holes. Screw pressure tested and dye checked and magnetic particle tested prior to shipping. |
Screw and Tip Threads- Repaired. Retrace screw threads, or sleeve and machine new threads, tip threads welded and re-machined. Inside and outside registers repaired. |
Seal/Bearing Sections- rebuilt to avoid leaks and return grooves re-machined or added. |
Thermoset Tips - Diameters repaired even in screw with cooling holes. Screw pressure tested and dye checked and magnetic particle tested prior to shipping. |
Mixing Pins- Installed or replaced. Flights interrupted or reconnected. Blister and barrier rings rebuilt and incorporated on screw. |
