How much outside diameter wear can I have on a feed screw before rebuilding it?
It depends on the materials you are running and how critical your operation. Give us a call with this information and weÌll provide you with our recommendation.

What is the fastest I can get a screw manufactured?
It depends on size, profile, etc. Here is an example: for a 3 1/2Ó, 24:1, mixing section, hardfaced, no chrome plating, it would be 14 working days.

What is the fastest I can get a screw rebuild?
Again, it depends on size, profile, etc.. Many times 5 days can be arranged.

How much experience does Flite Technology and its staff have in the screw and barrel business?
FliteTechnology was founded in 1981. Most of its employees have 5-15 years experience in the industry.

What is the smallest screw you can manufacture?
3/4ÓX o.d.

What is the largest screw you can manufacture?
21Ó o.d.

What is the longest screw you can manufacture?
40 ft.

Are bimetallic barrels better or equal to nitrided barrels?
There is no easy answer to this question. It depends on the type of materials used in the centrifugal casting, the exact type of nitriding process and under what specifications they are implemented. We would be happy to advise you which would be better based on you specific requirements.

What is your warranty?
We guarantee newly manufactured products for workmanship and material defects for a period of 12 months from installation, or 18 months from delivery, whichever occurs first. Flite Technology is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper storage, installation, customer handling or vandalism.

Will you come to our plant?
Yes. We offer on-site screw and barrel wear measuring, process reviewuation and CAD drawing services.
